New press for They can’t hurt you if you don’t believe in them”:

“..the album showcases the band’s talent for creating swelling soundscapes that can jump from tender to intense at a moment’s notice. Be prepared for walls of sound” – City Arts Magazine

“It's intensely visceral stuff: Melting vocals drift in and out among bleak, empathic guitar lines. At times, the songs drop to nothing but a fluid cello melody or some thin keyboard notes. The effect is almost gaspingly beautiful. It's music that creeps up before crashing into you like cold waves on a seashore—just as the best parts of SDRE's self-titled "pink album" does.” – Seattle Weekly

Moody and melodious, with a strong sense of intricate and involving harmony, exceptionally rich, complex, and often surprising full-bore orchestral arrangements, and passionate vocals, this album makes a lasting and immediate impression that’s mighty tough to shake. The thick and brooding atmosphere of despair and melancholy (the weeping strings are simply gorgeous) further enhances the overall sterling quality. Kudos are also in order for the smart and thoughtful songwriting. A hugely satisfying and impressive artistic achievement.Jersey Beat

“This album is cohesive. Each song leads into the next conceptually and melodically. There aren’t breaks, only soft pauses before dominating guitars return or mysterious soft melodies take over; the wind may die down, but it never fades away entirely.” – FensePost

“Snap out of your MGMT and Fleet Foxes phase and dig this: post-rock that doesn’t suck. This record promises to lull you into a false sense of security and then roundhouse kick you in the face with a dynamic range of euphoric sounds.
Is this album for everyone? No. But then again, nothing is. It’s nice to listen to something that doesn’t pander to an audience and is instead, genuine to itself. In short: Post Harbor has single-handedly made me excited and hopeful for obscure rock bands in 2010.” – Stereo Subversion

“It's like the whole post-rock movement never splintered. This latest from Post Harbor is full of noise, delicate ruminations and achingly gorgeous arcs of sound. Song structure? Strong sucksure. But that's okay. I'm always interested in finding new ways to listen to music. A treat for all the senses.” –
Aiding & Abetting

“The songs on their album "They Can't Hurt You If You Don't Believe In Them" remind the listener immediately of bands like Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Ros, and Constants -- and eventually recall the sincere, desperate vocals of Jeremy Enigk (Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft). You're bound to hear walls of sonic guitars and noisy atmospherics, all contrasted by painfully dreary moments when the sounds of pianos and strings cut through. This record is one I fell in love with instantly, and certainly won't forget nearly as quickly.” – The Music The Message
